Actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has thrown his weight behind the controversial Fatima Medical College issue.
"As Napoleon once said, 'Every hour of lost time is a chance of future misfortune'. But what if that misfortune was intentionally brought to the lives of scores of students of the Fatima Medical College due to greedy, irresponsible and reckless management. And the painful pleas of brilliant students (who had passed tough entrance exams with flying colours) to state and central administration went unheeded for quite a long time?" he asks.
"In any other developed country, the same wrong-doing of the college would have attracted severe penalties, including prison sentences apart from cancellation of the license to run their college, and extraction of hefty compensations," he ponders.
"But in our country, the law is implemented quite efficiently against the meek and powerless, and the same law very inefficiently against the wrongdoers and lawbreakers," he says sharply.
"I earnestly request the Hon. CM of AP to stand by the students of the Fatima Medical College who have paid fees and have spent lost their time, and kindly give solace to the hardworking parents who paid the fees out of their hard-earned monies," the 'Agnyaathavaasi' actor says.
