A film in the combination of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and director Surender Reddy was announced last September. Produced by Ram Talluri under STR Entertainments, the film, called PSPK 29, is rumoured to be a political thriller and will showcase Pawan Kalyan as a powerful politician akin to his political avatar as Janasena party's president.
Grapevine is that the film has now been put on hold indefinitely due to Pawan Kalyan's busy work schedules in films as well as politics. Initially, the team has planned to begin regular shooting in summer but with Pawan Kalyan allocating his call sheets for Harish Shankar's social drama, the makers of PSPK 29 had suspended their plans.
Surender Reddy has been waiting for Pawan Kalyan for a long time and he has already completed scripting the film. He wanted to begin the shooting late summer before he takes up Akhil's film onto the sets. Now that Pawan Kalyan is busy until the end of this year, he has shifted his focus onto Akhil's film, a spy-thriller inspired by the Bourne series.
On the work front, Pawan Kalyan is currently shooting for the Telugu remake of Ayyappayum Koshiyum and a period drama directed by Krish. He is also awaiting the release of Vakeel Saab on April 9.
