Speaking at a college during his ongoing Krishna-Guntur tour, Jana Sena chief on Friday recalled the Paritala Ravi incident that is said to have ended in a shocking climax. Way back in late 1990s, sections of media had it that the powerful TDP leader (who was murdered in 2004) tonsured Pawan Kalyan's head over a litigation the latter was trying to resolve.
"I was shooting for 'Tammudu' when my brother Naga Babu called me up and asked me if it's true that Paritala Ravi had tonsured my head. I told him that I never even heard of his name! He told me that he was informed about it by some caller from the TDP office. I gave a thought to it. The allegation kept on growing for three years and came to be written about widely in newspapers," Power Star began saying.
"Let me tell you that nobody tonsured my head. I was feeling uncomfortable after days of shooting and that's why I got a hair-cut. Would I keep quiet if someone were to tonsure my head? I very much remember those who have resorted to this propaganda about me. They are very much walking in front of me. No matter how much they insulted me, I supported the TDP," Pawan said as if he were taking an indirect jibe at the TDP.
