The Friday edition of 'Sakshi' newspaper claimed that Pawan Kalyan recently had a secret meeting with Chandrababu Naidu to seal an alliance with the TDP. The report speculated that Jana Sena will get 25 Assembly and 3 Lok Sabha seats as part of the deal.
Pawan, who is no stranger to such speculations, broke the silence a while ago. Taking to Twitter, he condemned the rumours by projecting himself as a people's man. "TDP says JSP is a partner of YCP and BJP; Now YCP says JSP is a partner of TDP. When I meet Sri KCR in Raj Bhavan, TDP says I am with YCP and TRS. When you truly work for people, you have to face music from all sides," the Jana Sena chief said.
When the Andhra Pradesh CM said last month that his party and JSP may tie-up, Pawan had said that his party will go alone in the elections. What Pawan today said is a reiteration of the same.
Pawan further said, "One senior political observer has told me that both TDP and YCP have joined hands to damage the reputation of JSP by constantly planting such stories. I wish I could have my paper and TV channel to fight back. But I am inspired by the path of Late Sri Kanshi Ram, who established BSP without any channel and newspaper.
My Jana Sainiks are my channels and newspapers. I want people to prepare for more stories as the election dates come nearer. For all these stories to stop what they expect me to do is, I should support these parties and not be independent. Maybe, I am a small pawn in the game of political chess; but established political classes should remember that I am a soldier who is willing to fight."
