Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is observing Karthika Masam Deeksha. The actor performed some rituals at his home before leaving for Vijayawada to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. According to reports, Pawan will be having one meal a day for the entire month of Karthikam and will be wearing the traditional Panche Kattu throughout the season.

This is not the first time that Pawan is observing a deeksha as the actor also observed Ayyappa Deeksha for five times during the initial stages of his career. However, the actor would resume the shooting of his upcoming film Sardaar Gabbar Singh and will be leaving for Gujarat later today for a 25-days schedule. Directed by Ks Ravindra aka Bobby, the film is produced by Sharrath Marrar and also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. The makers are planning to release the film in summer, 2016.
