Pawan Kalyan has described himself as a left-to-the-centre politician who doesn't favour privatization. Speaking to a national daily, the Jana Sena leader has also said that he prefers a socialist system. State-run industrialization, to be precise.

Although Power Star has never explicitly branded himself as a libertarian, him saying nonchalantly that he is a socialist is a bit shocking. What impact this inclination will have on the party's policy stances has to be seen.

The actor-turned-politician has also remarked that the Left parties are his comfort zone. He has ruled out any understanding or alliance with the BJP, because "people are not with it". Having stated that, he hopes the Left parties rethink some of their policy stances. Pawan is also against destructive trade unionism.
