It is known that, on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi consoled the CWG bronze-winner wrestler Pooja Gehlot after she broke down on camera on failing to win a gold medal for India. Pawan Kalyan has lauded the PM for consoling Gehlot.
"A true leader stands by such individuals when they are at the weakest. When you stand by people when they are at the weakest then they show wonders in the future," the actor-politician tweeted today.
The Jana Sena Party chief also remembered how Modi was there by the side of ISRO scientists after a failure a couple of years ago. “In glory and success, the whole world will be there to cheer you up and encourage you. But true encouragement and solace are needed when the best efforts go in vain and when they haven’t lived up to the people’s expectations," the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' star said.
In his tweet, the PM had said, "Pooja, your medal calls for celebrations, not an apology. Your life journey motivates us, your success gladdens us. You are destined for great things ahead…keep shining!" The tweet has been a viral one.
