Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan and the BJP's state leaders today held a joint presser in Vijayawada. The two parties have come together to strengthen their base in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan spoke at length about the JSP-BJP alliance. He also touched upon the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act.
"Since 2014, those who have followed Jana Sena have also been supporters of Narendra Modi ji. Our two parties have decided to join forces for future action. Sunil Deodhar, who is BJP in-charge in AP, is working with us. We stand for casteless politics and clean governance. Governance is a long haul. The previous TDP government's misdeeds created problems. And the hopes of the people have been watered down by the YCP government," Pawan Kalyan said.
He exuded confidence that the JSP-BJP alliance will form the government in 2024.
Sunil Deodhar, National Secretary of BJP, said that BJP and JSP will stand for anti-casteist, anti-corruption and anti-dynasty politics. "We will fight on streets for the rights of the Andhra people. We will fight against state-sponsored religious conversions in the State," he added.
