In February, distributor Sampath Kumar of Tollywood Creations hogged headlines when he accused the "mafia" around Pawan Kalyan of preventing him from seeking justice. For the uninitiated, he had bought the theatrical rights of 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' for a whopping Rs. 4.38 Cr, for distribution in Krishna district. With the film sinking without leaving a trace, he made a huge loss of more than Rs. 2 Cr.

He was promised to be sold the distribution rights of 'Katamarayudu' after he suffered terrible losses in last April. Sampath was hoping that the profits made from 'Katamarayudu' will compensate his 'SGS' losses.

But, allegedly, his countless requests haven't been acknowledged by producer Sharrath Marar and Srinivas, better known as Pawan's personal manager.

With just a week away from the movie's release, the distributor has launched a 'dharna' in front of Film Chamber building at Film Nagar. 'Meere ma devudu antunna pattinchukoni Pawan Kalyan', is written on the banner at his sit-out. He has accused Sharrath Marar and Pawan's manager of cheating him after making a promise.
