In his latest interview, Jerome Sallle, the director of the French film 'Largo Winch', on which 'Agnyaathavaasi' is based, has said that T-Series doesn't own the rights to remake his film in any language other than Hindi. As such, he can legally proceed against Haarika & Hassine Creations for doing the Telugu remake without the permission of the makers of 'LW'.

Jerome says that the writers of 'Agnyaathavaasi' have copied among others the "third act, location, and sets" of the French film.

The director tells a portal that he knows the "stature" of Pawan Kalyan but he has to "apply the law".

Recently, Jerome shared a tweet which says that "if the legal action can actually create a fear and rectify the mindset of Indian filmmakers forever, he (Jerome) deserves to be awarded India's topmost film award."
