Pawan Kalyan hails Union Budget

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has lauded the contents of the Union Budget, which was presented by the Union Finance Minister yesterday. The Jana Sena chief said that the budget has a forward-looking character. It seeks to firm up India's place in the world, he said.

Pawan, who is an ally of the BJP, said that Nirmala Sitharaman's budget is definitely multi-pronged. Prime Minister's Gati Shakti scheme is another game-changing one. The defense budget has been increased, regional channels to promote education have been announced, measures that are friendly for digital banking and digital currency have also been announced, Pawan added.

He added that, during the pandemic, the farm sector has been a buffer and kept the economy from being crippled. It's therefore welcome that farmers and agriculture have received many positives from the Budget, Pawan said.

The 'Bheemla Nayak' actor opined that it's a bit disappointing that proposals that positively affect the Telugu States have not found a place in the Budget. He also made a mention of the Polavaram project not getting any allocation.
