Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday felicitated a Go Rakshak by the name of Chand Basha, who hails from the Devanakonda mandal of Kurnool district. The Jana Sena chief felicitated Basha in recognition of his efforts to protect cows and feed them at his Go Raksha Shala.
"I am glad that Pawan Kalyan garu has given me this recognition. I hail from a remote village in Kurnool district. He came to know about me and then gave me a call to visit him in Hyderabad," Basha said, adding that the 'Vakeel Saab' actor has promised all possible help for the maintenance of the Go Raksha Shala. Pawan also learned about cow-based farming and the uses of cow products.
Power Star also felicitated Penchal Das, the folk singer from Rayalaseema, for popularizing the Seema folk culture and slang through his work. Penchal Das famously sang songs in 'Aravindha Sametha', 'Krishnarjuna Yuddham', 'Yatra' and the upcoming movie, 'Sreekaram'.
Trivikram Srinivas, who has worked with Das on the NTR film, was present on the occasion.
