Pawan Kalyan, in his capacity as the chief of Jana Sena Party, has expressed to representatives of hand-loom weavers his readiness to take up the cause of the sector's beleaguered workers. A group of representatives recently called on Power Star, who patiently listened to the travails of the weavers of the neglected sector.

According to a press statement from the party's media cell, Pawan got emotional when he learnt that scores of weavers have committed suicide in the Telugu States in recent past as a consequence of their livelihoods getting destroyed in the face of competition and faulty government interventions (or the lack of them).

Pawan will take part in the Padmashali Garjana to be held next month, besides lending his support to 'chenetha sathyagrahis'.

What is more, Pawan has volunteered to become the brand ambassador of hand-loom weaving.

After drawing the attention of AP government to the plight of victims of 'Uddanam Nephropathy', Pawan is on his way to indirectly and directly pressurize the governments to care for hand-loom weavers.
