Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation and UTF, among other teachers' bodies, have boycotted the Teachers' Day celebrations in AP. Amidst this backdrop, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan today lamented that the YCP government led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy is insensitive and irresponsible.
He seemed to agree with the stance taken by the ATPF that the YCP government is in the wrong for filing criminal cases against many teachers. The teachers' community has been ill-treated and it doesn't bode well for the government, the Jana Sena Party chief warned.
The implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme has been one of the pressing demands of the teachers. Pawan Kalyan supports this.
On the occasion, Pawan also recalled his association with his school teachers. "I feel happy when my childhood friends tell me the teachers ask about my well-being. After parents, it is teachers who come next in our lives," the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' star said.
