The Film Chamber of Commerce, Telangana, has written an open letter to the Telangana CM on the drugs investigation. Pawan Kalyan has backed the letter by way of sharing it on his micro-blogging site.
The letter defends the idea of the Telugu film industry by saying that Telugu films have always glorified the victory of good over evil. "Our films don't portray the victory of villainy. Our films uphold family values," the letter says.
"It's sad that the whole industry is having to bear ignominy because a few individuals have been found to be consuming drugs," the letter says. "Only those who are physically and mentally strong can survive in this industry," it further says.
"We make films that never hurt the sensibilities of any caste, social group, community or political party. We raise funds when calamity strikes somewhere," it says.
The Chamber has commended the Government's resolve in striking at the root of the drugs racket.
