Pawan Kalyan, who holds farming quite close to his mind and heart, has resolved to promote ancient forestry/farming technique. The actor-politician has made it part of his party's policy vision.

"Started my ‘Karthika masam vratham’ and also initiated JSP’s ‘Vana Rakshana’ program from my farm. The intention of this program is to safeguard forests and plantation of trees as said in the Puranas and the Vedas," Power Star today said.

Pawan has practised 'Zero Farming' techniques for years. It has to be seen how well his party will try to popularize ancient farming.

He has also thrown his weight behind the fight of construction workers. "The recent suicides of construction workers have shaken up my conscience. As responsible Political parties we must all come together in their support and make the Government understand the pain and anguish of the suffering people are being subjected to by a lopsided sand-policy," he said yesterday.
