For the past few weeks, it has been rumoured that Pawan Kalyan was recently approached to do the remake of Ajith's Vedhalam. Instead of this movie going to floors, the film which is touted to be a sequel to Khushi is in the offing. The reason why Pawan has chosen to go for a rom-com in SJ Suryah's direction instead of going for a remake, seems to be that he is not certain about the script's suitability to be adapted as it is in Telugu.

He indicated this much in his interview to a media house recently. Revealing the truth about he being considered to reprise Ajith's character in a Telugu remake, Power Star said that he is yet to take the call. Pawan has suggested that the script-in-making will take time to be locked. Changes to suit the Telugu nativity are to be made.

Meanwhile, Pawan's fans wish to see their star in a safe bet role post the release of Sardaar Gabbar Singh. After Pawan as a writer has almost got a lukewarm response once again, the star and his fans seem to believe that it's better not to experiment in the short run.
