YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has opened up on the alleged equations between TDP and Jana Sena. Speaking to a news channel, he spoke of two scenarios. He almost alleged that there is a secret alliance between the two parties.
"We have seen what Jana Sena has done in Telangana. It gave tacit support to TDP in the recent elections. We have heard Chandrababu Naidu garu say that I shouldn't have any problem if TDP and Jana Sena enter into a realliance. In 2014, these two parties openly teamed up together and cheated the people. In 2019, they are doing so covertly," Jagan commented.
"Going by Naidu garu's recent words, maybe, this drama will no longer be a secret affair in the near future. I have no worries. I will be more than happy if they join hands with each other," he added.
But what if there is no alliance between them? Does that make Jagan happy or nervous? "I have never talked to Pawan Kalyan garu even once. I have never seen him in person till now. I have no secret alliance with him. Let's speak of two scenarios. Let's assume that Jana Sena contests alone. Pawan garu's supporters voted for TDP and BJP last time because he supported NDA. This time, if he is alone, the majority of his supporters will vote for Jana Sena only. So, whose vote bank goes down if this scenario plays out? Clearly, TDP's. Second scenario: If TDP and Jana Sena unite, the entire anti-incumbency vote will be solely owned by YSRCP," Jagan said.
He noted, "In 1994, when Congress lost, it won only 10 percent of the seats. In 2004, TDP got just 47 seats, that is, less than 15 percent of the seats. Anti-incumbency vote can be disastrous for the ruling party."
