Actor Vijay's father Veteran director S.A.Chandrasekhar has quit directing films and has started fully concentrating in acting ventures. Presently he is acting as Dhanush's father in 'Kodi' and in a pivotal role in 'Nayyapudai' with lyricist cum actor Pa. VIjay playing the lead role.

The shooting of 'Nayyapudai' directed by debutante Vijakiran has been completed recently and sources reveal that the makers are planning to release the film on March 4, 2016.

Interestingly 'Nayyapudai' is being produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu who is also bankrolling Ilayathalapathy's upcoming film 'Theri' directed by Atlee. While 'Theri' is expected to hit the screens on April 14, Vijay's father's film by the same producer will be hitting the screens a month and ten days ahead.

We will have to wait for an official confirmation regarding this release schedule

Thanu's another production venture 'Kanithan' starring Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa in lead roles has been scheduled to hit the screens on February 26.
