Patrayani Sangeetha Rao is no more. The famous musical exponent, who was critically acclaimed for his vast knowledge, passed away in Chennai at the age of 101. He had contracted coronavirus. His demise was confirmed by his family, who said that Rao breathed his last on Wednesday night.
Going into details, he was the son of the legendary singer Ghantasala's guru. And Rao was also a musical assistant under Ghantasala during the best times of his career.

It's learned that Rao had composed music for a number of Kuchipudi dance performances. He composed music for a number of programs under the aegis of Vempati China Sathyam.
The departed soul was a recipient of the Kalaimamani award, which is Tamil Nadu's highest civilian honour.
