The end of March will see the clash of the titans at the box office in the form of Simbu's 'Pathu Thala' and Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai 1' releasing on the 30th and 31st respectively. Meanwhile the censor certificates of both the films are out and the cut lists show heavy use of cuss words.

After the cuts CBFC has awarded 'Pathu Thala' a UA certificate with a running time of 152.24 minutes and it is suggested that both English and Tamil bad words have been muted along with bloodshed and beheading shots that have been removed and length modified.

In the case of 'Viduthalai 1' the CBFC has certified as A (Adults Only) with 145.37 minutes and here again the cut list gives the indication of private parts being shown during interrogations scenes along with heavy usage of profanity.

'Pathu Thala' produced by Studio Green is directed by Obeli N Krishna with A.R. Rahman scoring the music. The film stars Simbu, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Kalaiyarasan among others.

Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai 1' is produced by Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment with Ilayaraja scoring the music. Soori and Bhavani Sre play the lead roles while Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon and Vijay Sethupathi play supporting roles.
