Title - Patharagitti, Producers - Ishwar, Manjunath, Direction - K Ishwar, Music - Venkataswamy and Samira Kulkarni, Cinematography - Rakesh C Tilak, Cast - Sriki, Prajju Poovaiah, Tabla Naani, Lakki Shanker, Chikkanna, Bullet Prakash, Potre Nagaraj, Raju Thalikote, Layendra, Mithra, Brahmavar, Shanthamma, Kuri Pratap, Neelakanta Swamy, Shakeela in guest role. Like most of the newcomers Ishwar fails to impress in his screenplay from the beginning. Making the hero underdog and facing series of insult is the choice of hero but bringing a crisp and tidy screenplay is always the choice of audience. This is what missing in Ishwar debut film. In the beginning he has provided statistics on ‘Rape’ worldwide and the only wrong solution he gives is killing of ‘Rapists’ without bringing it to the notice of law and police.
A bouquet shop owner Sriki falls in love with mobile shop owner Prajju Poovaiah. Prajju prank
in the true love expressed by Sriki. Innocent Sriki is shocked to know that Prajju has been raped and she is isolated in her house. Against all odds he goes to meet Prajju. It is tough situation in his life. He traces the culprits who are none other than trio of Prajju mobile shop. The family of Prajju and Sriki gives the ultimate punishment to trio taking them to a far off place. Now Prajju is not mind to accept the love of Sriki. The reason is expected that ends on good note. Sriki of ‘Olave Mandhara’ has once again made a wrong choice. The heroism in his role is missing at many places.
The proper ground work this actor should do to keep up his image. Prajju Poovaiah has good scope to emote. She has done well and has good fortune in the coming days. The music of this film is glorious. Three songs in the composition of Venkataswamy and Sameera Kulkarni are worth hearing. Cinematography is not bad. The interior and exterior portions are well captured. Thedangerous solution of ‘Patharagitthi’ is not acceptable to the Indian democratic system.
Score - 4/10
