Baba Ramdev's Patanjali on Tuesday released a "cure" for Covid-19. The alleged cure is based on Ayurvedic ingredients and principles. Clinical trials were held before the launch of the medicine.

"We have prepared the first Ayurdeva-based clinically controlled, research-driven, evidence-based medicine for the novel coronavirus. We conducted a clinical case study and trial before the launch. We found 69% of patients recovered in 3 days and 100% of patients recovered in 7 days," Baba Ramdev was quoted as saying by ANI in Haridwar.

Coronil and Swasari are the names of the medicine.

Ramdev and his Man Friday Acharya Balkrishna released a kit and said that it would be available in the market for just under Rs 545. The kit will last 30 days.

It would have been better had Patanjali claimed that the medicine is a treatment and not a cure. As per Allopathy, there is no cure. World-famous scientists are working on a cure but none has been able to find one.
