‘Aarkkariyam’ starring Parvathy, Biju Menon and Sharafudheen hit the theatres on April 3. Though the movie received positive reviews from all corners, its screening was canceled as the theatres across the state shut down owing to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
Now, the latest is that the movie is all set for OTT release on May 17, 2.30 p.m. The film will be streaming on Neestream, the platform that released the widely-talked-about ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’.
‘Aarkkariyam’ is the directorial debut of popular cinematographer Sanu John Varughese. Scripted jointly by Sanu, Rajesh Ravi, and Arun Janardhanan, the movie's story revolved during the first wave of coronavirus and the nationwide lockdown. Actors Parvathy and Sharafudheen appear as a married couple who travel from Mumbai to Kerala just before the lockdown was announced. Biju Menon essays the role of Parvathy’s father in the film.
Produced jointly by filmmaker Aashiq Abu’s OPM Dream Mill and Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, the movie's cinematography is by G Sreenivas Reddy, while Mahesh Narayanan is on board as the editor.
