The much-awaited first look poster of Parvathy’s upcoming film ‘Varthamanam’ helmed by actor-turned-filmmaker Sidharatha Siva has been released online. The poster was unveiled by Mammootty, Nivin Pauly and Tovino Thomas on their respective social media handles. The poster features the actress in a hijab-clad avatar.
Parvathy is playing a character named Faiza Sufi. She is a research student at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. Roshan Mathew, who recently won widespread appreciation with his performance ‘Moothon’, plays Parvathy’s romantic interest in ‘Varthamanam’. The movie also stars Siddique, Sudheesh, Nirmal Palazhi, Dain Davis and many other non-Malayali actors.
Aryadan Shoukath has scripted the movie which is based on the current socio-political issues in the country. Popular cinematographer Alakappan is cranking the lens. Editing is by Shameer Muhammed. Pandit Ramesh Narayanan and Hesham Adul Wahab are jointly managing the music department. Bijibal is in charge of the background scores for the film.
The movie, bankrolled by Benzy Nazar and Aryadan Shoukath under the banner of Benzy productions, is shot extensively in Delhi, Uttarakhand and some other North Indian states. The team has completed the shoots of the film a few months ago and is currently in the post-production phase.
