Parvathi's grand debut

Actress Parvathi, the girl from God's Own Country, Kerala carved a niche for herself by coming up with a stunning performance in her maiden Tamil venture 'Poo'.

She made her debut by anchoring shows for a television channel in Kerala and acted as one of the heroine in a Malayalam movie titled 'Notebook'.

Playing a rural belle Mari in 'Poo', she reminded Tamil audience of versatile yesteryear actresses like Saritha and Shoba. Her spontaneous expression and cool performance won her accolades. Says Parvathi,' all credit should go to director Sasi. He taught me everything. He showed me the videos of people living in rural Tamilnadu and their lifestyle. He helped me get my emotions right'.

Happy that her performance was appreciated by film personalities including Bharath, Karan, Sandhya, director Venkat Prabhu, she feels there is still a long way to go. 'I will choose my forthcoming films with caution. Audience should appreciate my acting credentials and I am not for glamour'.
