Paruthi Veeran releasing this weekend

Director Ameer's much-hyped Paruthi Veeran pulled out of the Pongal race at the last moment.

The movie starring newcomer Karthi (Suriya’s sibling) and Priya Mani was considered a dark house among the releases. Unfortunately, it chose not to run the race.

When asked about the reason, Ameer said, “We still have some patch work to do. The re-recording is not completely over and also the print orders could not be executed because of the Pongal holidays for the lab.”

Ameer is confident of releasing the movie this weekend and the advance reservations would begin this Wednesday.

Similarly, Vijaya T Rajendhar too chose to postpone the release of his Veerasaami to the first-week of February.
