Paruthi Veeran in Berlin!

The 58th International Film Festival Berlinale was in Berlin on Thursday, February 7, 2008, along with the 38th International Film Festival. Many films from various countries and various languages competed for being screened at this prestigious film festival.

Out of these 136 films were selected to be screened. Director Ameer’s ‘Paruthi Veeran’ directly entered the list and Shah Rukh Khan’s 2007 blockbuster ‘Om Shanthi Om’ got a special screening.

The Berlin film festival is held for 10 days, during which ‘Paruthi Veeran’ was screened for the first five days. In the five days that this picture was screened, the first two days it was screened with German sub-titles and during the next three days with English.

There was a special screening for the international press too, which consisted of journos from around the world. The Berlin film festival jury felt that Paruthi Veeran was one of the best films representing India.

The director of this film Ameer has flown to Berlin this morning to take part in the Berlin film fest.
