Speaking at a meet held on Tuesday under the aegis of MAA, senior writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna spoke of the sacrifices made by the members of the film fraternity in the context of expressing outrage over a TV anchor recently abusing film fraternity's women.
"On a fateful day, Anna garu (NT Rama Rao) was shooting for a film when he came to know the news about his son Ramakrishna's demise. He didn't want to leave the spot then and there. He was concerned about the livelihood of the cine workers working on the film.
At the end of the day, he removed his make-up and cried, hugging director Trivikrama garu. Superstar Krishna garu would work three shifts a day. I was worried about his health. But he was concerned only about the wellbeing of those dependent on the film industry for livelihood," Paruchuri said.
"Chiranjeevi garu was down with fever while shooting for a scene in 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'. He was running a temperature of 104 degrees. Such are the sacrifices we in the industry make," he noted.
