Veteran actor-writer-director Parthiban has been experimenting with his films for the past few years and his 'Otha Seruppu' released in 2019 had only one actor in the entire story. The film won several international awards an today it won National Awards for Best Sound Effect and Best Film Jury.

Speaking to newsmen Parthiban expressed disappointment that his film did not get what it deserved ‘To be honest, the film deserves a lot more awards and like the Oscars the same film can be awarded in multiple categories. I know my film and it deserved a few more awards, including the Best Actor award.

However Parthiban also added that he will do his best to get it in the next 'Iravin Nizhal' (Shadow of the Night) a never before attempted single shot film that has music by A.R. Rahman.
