A new movie 'Keni' directed by M.A. Nishad has veteran actors Parthiban, Nassar, Jayapradha, Revathi, Archana and Anu Haasan sharing screen with S.P. Balasubramaniam and K.J. Yesudass singing a song "Ayyaa Saamy" and appearing together on screen too.

NIshad who has directed 7 Malayalam films is making 'Keni' as a bilingual titled 'Kinar' in Malayalam.  The subject touches the sensitive issue of water scarcity and how nature is beyond borders and no authority has the right to own water.  Jayapradha plays a Keralite married to a Tamilian, Revathi as Tirunelveli collector, Rekha and Anu Haasan as village women who join for a cause.  M.S, Bhaskar and Thalaivasal Vijay too have pivotal roles while Jayachandran scores the music and the audio was released today.
