Director and actor R Parthiban was last seen on screen in the Vishal starrer action entertainer Ayogya directed by Venkat Mohan which had him playing the villain, and he had last directed the movie Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga starring Shanthanu and Parvathi Nair, released before few years.

Now even as the actor is gearing up for the release of his next directorial venture Oththa Seruppu size 7, the actor has revealed an interesting surprise detail regarding Aayirathil Oruvan 2, which would be made by director Selvaraghavan, during a recent interview.

Parthiban revealed that like Aayirathil Oruvan, he will be having a meaty role in Aayirathil Oruvan 2 as well, as the child who comes in the climax of Aayirathil Oruvan will grow up into Parthiban, as Selvaraghavan had narrated to him even when telling the script of Aayirathil Oruvan. He also added that Aayirathil Oruvan 2 might shape up depending on the commercial success of NGK.
