Director Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ garnered huge anticipation around it when the first lyrical video of Karuppi came out. Now the director has given us a little more and to expect what through an official trailer.
The trailer begins with an ‘Educate, Organise, Revolt’. And the viewer will be able to go through all those in the trailer itself. The protagonist wants to be a lawyer. Organise and revolt might be major portions of the film too as we can guess through the trailer.
But what holds our attention is how the initial portions form- be it the dramatization of the naked child’s walk, or the way the tear trickles down the eyes of the hero(Kathir)- there is drama and emotion even in the few visuals we get from the trailer.
The serious drama transfuses into a cute lovey conversation between a couple and from there again we witness ruckus. Riots and clash seem to erupt in a law college setting. We have a fair guess that the theme of the film will strongly revolve around caste politics as well as were the heavy symbolism in the Karuppi song.
