Director Gautham Menon had last directed Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada starring Simbu and Manjima Mohan, and has two movies waiting to release - Dhanush starrer Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Chiyaan Vikram's Dhruva Natchathiram which has climax left to be shot.

On the other hand, Gautham Menon has been working on other movies as well, and had completed shooting a web series Queen, and also plans to team up with Simbu and Suriya again. Besides, he has also restarted his shelved movie Yohan Adhyayam Ondru which he wanted to direct with Vijay.

This movie has been renamed as Joshua Adhiyayam Ondru, and will have actor Varun who was recently seen in lead role in Puppy as the hero. Reportedly Gautham Menon has modified the screenplay of this spy thriller to suit Varun, and will have a Hollywood stunt director. Varun has trained in Paris for the action sequences of this movie, which is being shot in Chennai.
