Kajal Aggarwal, who was last seen in Tamil in Tamil in the Vijay starrer superhit Mersal, had been concentrating on Tollywood, where she had releases like Awe, Kavacham and MLA last year, with only Awe winning critical and commercial acclaim. Now, the actress is all set to be seen on Tamil screens soon, with her next, Paris Paris.

Directed by Ramesh Arvind, Paris Paris is the remake of 2014 Bollywood superhit Queen that had Kangana Ranaut in the lead role (which won her a national award for best actress),and the movie is being remade simultaneously in Telugu as That is Mahalakshmi with Tamannaah, Zam Zam with Manjima Mohan and Butterfly with Parul Yadav.

The teaser of these four remakes, released last month met with a terrific response, and particularly, the Tamil teaser had become a smash hit and was trending number one on YouTube. Paris Paris teaser has now reached a whopping 7.2 million views, making it the most viewed teaser/trailer among Tamil female-centric flicks, surpassing the 6 million views record held by Lady Superstar Nayanthara starrer 2018 hit Kolamaavu Kokila.
