Bollywood loves sports biopics. After the success of 'Bhag Milkha Bhag', several biopics have struck theaters and several are in production as of now. One of the most anticipated one is the Saina Nehwal biopic. Starring Parineeti Chopra in the titular role, the film is going through discussions regarding the nature of its release.

Makers are considering an OTT release for the film. It was originally slated to release last summer but the Covid-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdown didn't let that happen. Now that the theaters are operating at 50% capacity to maintain social distancing, it might be risky to have a theatrical release. Although makers are yet to make a final call, they are inclined towards the OTT release of the film.

Although the film originally starred Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role but she walked away and Parineeti bagged the opportunity.
