Paresh Rawal has given numerous amazing performances throughout his long and illustrious career but his role of Babu Rao from 'Hera Pheri' franchise easily tops them all. Babu Rao was one of the main reasons behind the success of those films and his one liners are still popular among masses.

Since last few years, there have been rumors about development of 'Hera Pheri 3'. Recently, during a conversation with India Today, Paresh Rawal talked about the potential sequel to the franchise and also highlighted what went wrong with 'Phir Hera Pheri'.

The actor stated, "When we were making Phir Hera Pheri, I felt that we were stuffing too many things into it. The simple goodwill of these three characters and the scope of these characters would have worked for the film. But since the first one worked so well, you try hard to make the second work well and so it turns out to be a classic case of overkill.”

Talking about 'Hera Pheri 3', Paresh said, "I have no idea about Hera Pheri 3 but would love to get back into that character. Also, on one condition - the script has to be good. If we’re going to make the film to encash on the franchise, then there is no use."

Giving example of a perfect sequel, the actor stated, "For me, an example of an ideal sequel is Munna Bhai MBBS to Lage Raho Munna Bhai. So, we can take a leap like that, then I would love to do it and it will be fun. Otherwise, we believe, if one film works, we will try to keep encashing by making sequels, which now according to me, the audience won't accept it."

On the work front, Paresh Rawal was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video's 'Sharmaji Namkeen'.
