Paresh Rawal is fed up of his most iconic character, Babu Rao

Paresh Rawal is a seasoned actor who has given countless memorable performances in his long and illustrious career. He has played sinister villains as well as hilarious side characters but his performance as Babu Rao in 'Hera Pheri' series is the most iconic one. The character is loved so much that even so many years after the release, people still quote Babu Rao and make memes about him.
However, it seems like Paresh himself is fed up with all the memes and vines that feature Babu Rao. He also feels that the second installment of the film was a big let down considering how iconic the first one was.
He told The Quint, What happened was, in Hera Pheri 2, we were very over smart. Zyada hi hoshiyari dikha rahe the apni (We tried to be too smart). And, it did not work. Except one guy was working, who was very earnest, Suniel Shetty. He never wanted to probe anything so he was standing out. Aur hum, ..dekha…bahut gandgi ho gai thi (It all got too dirty).”
Talking about his ideas for part 3 of the series, Paresh said, Jab kabhi bhi hota hai, ek to innocence chahiye wo nahi tha….wo tha hi nahi. Gandgi ho gai (Whenever that happens, it will need innocence. That wasn’t there anymore. It all got too dirty). In fact, I would like to get rid of that image. Truly.”
