It has been proved many times that super hit films in one language can't be always successful in other languages. Because the sensibilities of audiences change with the culture.

But there are some universal subjects with basic human emotions which will connect to audiences anywhere in the world. 'Drishyam' is one such film. The film created many records in Malayalam and the Telugu version 'Drushyam', which stars Venkatesh in the lead, was also a good success.

Today (July 3rd), the Tamil version 'Papanasam', featuring Kamal Haasan and Gauthami in the leads, has been released. The film opened to super positive reviews. The film is a family thriller, which is all about the plight of a father to cover up a murder to save his family members. Middle class lives and the emotions are portrayed well in the film.

The Hindi version, which is also titled 'Drishyam', stars Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in the leads. This film is set for a release on 31st of this month and let's see how the Bollywood audiences will receive it.
