Rishab Pant was the talk of the town when he was not selected for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Chairman of Selectors MSK Prasad said: “It's definitely a case where we debated for long. We all felt that either Pant or Karthik will come in the playing XI if Dhoni is injured. We all felt if the injury happens in the semi-finals, wicket-keeping also matters, so that is the reason why we went for Karthik instead of Pant.” While this would have left his fans unhappy, Pant himself seems to have bounced back and is all geared up to support his team.
The young wicket-keeper batsman has posted a picture of himself in the Indian jersey wishing the boys all the best to bring the cup back home. We're with him in his wishes!
