Pankaj Tripathi plays a man wrongly declared dead in 'Kaagaz'.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi is bagging all the unique and interesting roles in the industry. In his next film 'Kaagaz', he will essay the role of a man who is trying to prove his existence after he was declared dead in land records of Uttar Pradesh. The movie is directed by Satish Kaushik and stars Monal Gajjar, Mita Vashisht, Amar Upadhyay and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.

The film is inspired by the real life story of Lal Bihari Mritak. This is what Pankaj Tripathi has to say about the role, “It is quirky, black comedy and depicts a common man’s humorous journey on identity crisis. My character will be quite different from some of my recent ventures and I am excited to be a part of such an inspiring story. This story needs to be heard and I am definite that Zee5 will give it the reach that it deserves."

The movie is set for an January 7 release and will be available on Zee5.
