The entire framework of Indian entertainment industry has gone through massive changes in last few years and it has hugely benefitted actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jitendra Kumar and others who now have suitable stages to show off their talents. Pankaj Tripathi believes that this change has been possible only cause we as an audience have developed our taste and have set certain standards which filmmakers now try to follow.

During a recent conversation with IANS, Pankaj shared that the gap between mainstream and arthouse cinema is depleting day by day. He said, "I feel the lines between mainstream and parallel cinema will keep getting blurred and that shows the growth and evolution of our audience, they are now open to a broad range of subjects."

Highlighting the key reasons for the change, Pankaj said, "Because of the access to the internet and the audience has now an option of watching a lot of content they are now witnessing content pieces from across the globe. A lot of young energy is entering the content medium, a lot of new directors and writers have entered the system and are pushing the envelope with their creative choices. The evolution of the audience has made it easier to tell different stories and has enabled us to make some brave creative choices.”
