Director Pandiraj's films have always been family friendly and his last outing 'Kadaikutty Singam' produced by Suriya made the audience and everyone involved super happy. Its been exactly a year since the release of the Karthi, Sayyeshaa and Sathyaraj starrer and 2D Entertainment acknowledged it on social media.

Reacting to the first anniversary of 'Kadaikutty Singam' director Pandiraj has thanked the audience for the positive response and has promised that he and his team are working day and night in 'SK16' to give a similar mass family entertainer. The ongoing untitled film has the ensemble cast of Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Anu Emmanuel, Bharathiraja, Samuthirakani, Natty Natraj, R.K. Suresh, Soori and Yogi Babu. D. Imman is scoring the music and the project is bankrolled on a large scale by Sun Pictures.
