After Nakamukku by Vijay Anthony, expectations and anticipation rode high on his next musical album `Pandhayam'. He did not let down his fans as he has come up with a remix of yesteryear hit Sinhalese gaana `Suarngani'. Sure to set the music-lovers rocking, the song is indeed the pick of the album.

Directed by S A Chandrasekar, `Pandhayam' stars Nithin Satya, Sindhu Tolani, Prakash Raj among others.

The album has five numbers which are quite interesting. Vijay Anthony has understood the needs of his fans to deliver a worth-listening album.

Surangani (Balaji, Megha, Maya) Lyrics: Ceylon Manohar

Vijay Anthony has remixed yesteryear hit Sri Lankan number Surangani. A popular number among college students in early 1980s, the new version has racy music and more of percussion instruments. The song to watch out in the album, it provides a fresh feel tempting one to shake their legs. Balaji and Megha's catchy vocals does the trick.

Chinna Maamiye (Christopher, Balaji , Shoba Chandrasekhar, Vinaya) Lyrics: Ceylon Manohar, Eknaath

It's again a poplar Sri Lankan gaana made popular by Ceylon Manohar. With catchy English words and the voice of Shobha Chandrasekhar (actor Vijay's mother) is perfectly suited for the number. Naughty and witty lines, racy music and cool vocals strike the right chord.

Ammane (Nithesh Gopalan, Bellyraj, Dinesh, Vinitha) Lyrics: Robert

Set in a classic raaga, the song takes us to feel of listening fables from Arabian Nights. With a catchy tune and soft interludes, the song flows in a rhythm. However the lyrics are a major let down here.

Kadhal Theeviravathi ( Jaidev, Vinaya) Lyrics: Priyan

A romantic number, which is soft on ears and smooth to listen to. Inspired by Classical raaga, the song has soft vocals accompanied by music that doesn't run over the lyrics.

After Nenjam Kootil in `Dishoom', the music composer has come out with a soft romantic song sure to click among the lovers.

Lusimbara (Christopher, Ramya) Lyrics: Annamalai

The sound vocals of Ramya and classy rap by Christopher do enough wonders in the song. A reverberating number set in a brisk tune, the song has everything in it to appeal to youngsters. The good use of drums and guitar is impressive. Annamalai's lyrics are chic and trendy.

On the whole, Vijay Anthony has come up with a racy album that is entertaining and engaging.
