'Panchathantram' is hitting the screens on December 9. At the film's pre-release event, guest and star director Harish Shankar spoke about the content-driven film and those associated with it.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Shankar said that it is not easy to balance aesthetics and economics. "At times, it's not easy to do justice given the compulsions. 'Panchathantram' is a big film and please don't call it a small film. We need to encourage films like this one. The audience who complain that sensible films are not made need to be encouraged when they are made," the director said.
"The title is literary and the first success of director Harsha Pulipaka is in selecting such a lovely title. As for composer Prashanth R Vihari, his work is superb in the film. I have watched 'Panchathantram' and it's my privilege to endorse it on stage today," the 'DJ' director said.
"The lyrics of the songs in this film are going to be remembered for a long time. Divya Sripada and Sri Vidya are very talented. Like 'Colors' Swathi, they deserve much more! I have met Shivathmika Rajasekhar a couple of times before. Shivathmika and Shivani have started from scratch. They are busy giving auditions and are enjoying their journey. When they become super-successful, these days are going to be sweet," the 'Gabbar Singh' director added.
He said that Executive Producer Bhuvan is the film's backbone, going by the producer's words.
