Director Prashanth Neel's highly anticipated film, "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire," is poised to grace screens on December 22, 2023, promising audiences an immersive and enthralling cinematic experience. The film, set in the fictional city of Khansaar, intricately weaves a tale around the profound bond shared by two childhood friends, portrayed by the stellar duo of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, alongside the versatile Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles.
Prabhas, a pan-Indian star, shed light on the film's premise and his character in this action-packed extravaganza. He expressed, "In 'Salaar,' audiences will witness deep emotions between characters, and it marks a departure from my previous on-screen roles."
As the film gears up for its grand release just a week away, Prabhas, in a recent interview, delved into the meticulous workshops and preparations that went into shaping his character. He revealed, "Prashanth and I collaborated closely. I shared my thoughts, and he guided me, incorporating elements of body language that I believed were fitting for the film. We engaged in discussions, creating a workshop atmosphere that was both relaxing and fun."
Reflecting on his collaboration with director Prashanth Neel, Prabhas expressed, "In my 21 years in the industry, Prashanth is the best director I've worked with. Our connection went beyond the set; I eagerly awaited his calls, cherishing the time spent with him. This was a unique experience, a bond that deepened within the first month of our collaboration."
When questioned about the time invested in shooting for his character, Prabhas commended Prashanth's efficient direction, stating, "Prashanth, being a hero-director, accommodated my timings. Once on set, the focus was solely on our performances no unnecessary delays. I appreciated their efficiency, although we insisted on waiting for the director. They halted everything to capture the hero's entry, a gesture that left a lasting impression." Addressing the physical transformation for his role, Prabhas shared, "Prashanth envisioned a muscular physique for my character, and I adapted accordingly. While it may seem a common occurrence for me, it was a crucial aspect of embodying the character in 'Salaar.' Throughout my 21-year career, such transformations have been a constant."
It's worth noting that "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire" explores the brotherly bond between its characters, boasting a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes. The film, adorned with an 'A' certificate from the censor board, attests to its grand scale, featuring intense combat scenes, violence, and epic battle sequences that promise to captivate audiences. The countdown to December 22nd has begun, setting the stage for a cinematic spectacle like no other.
