Palunku
Blessy has been the most talked about filmmaker to have arrived into malluwood in recent times. His first two ventures Kazcha and Tanmathra did revolutionalise the way, a typical malayalee looked upon films. He told the stories of average keralite with true to life images which were caressed by the masses. Both these films become runaway success and even brought many an awards including the best director award for Blessy. Now with a lot of expectations behind him, Blessy is into his third venture "'Palunku'', which is slated for this Christmas.
The film with Mammootty in the lead tells a rather emotional story centered on Monichan and his family. Monichan is a farmer who is based on a hilly village, where he is everything. On the Contrary the village is the only world that Monichhan knows, as he was born and brought up in the village, and has got little chances to take a feel of the distant city. He with his poultry, farmland and cows leads a happy life with his wife Susan and his two daughters Geethu and Neethu.

Being a responsible father he begins to escort them to school and back home, on his cycle. He feels a sense of pride when his daughters begin to speak English and eventually start fancying city life. Encouraged by his daughter's fancies for urban living, Monichhan and his family move into the city. Monichan at first finds it hard to cope with life in the city. But as days go by, he becomes very receptive to urban ways of living .He starts to forget his good ways of village life which ultimately leads him to bigger problems that have quite a very few solutions.
