Earlier today, Pakistani jets violated the line of control, and this had lead to Indian airforce fighters launch counter attack operations, as reported by IAF officials.It has been said that the Indian airforce jets chased away Pakistani jets before any damage could be caused.
As per reports, the Pakistani jets that crossed the line of control, and entered the Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera sector. The Pakistani jets also dropped several bombs and there are so far no reports of any casualties or deaths from Indian side due to these bombs.
Immediately after sensing the Pakistani jets, the Indian airforce officials reportedly launched counter attacks and the patrol chased away Pakistan jets, which were of F16 category. The airforce launched a retaliatory attack, and the F16 that had violated Indian air space was shot down 3 km within Lam valley in Pakistan Territory.As the F16 crashed down after being shot, there was a parachute seen, but the status of the Pakistani pilot is not known yet. Yesterday the Indian airforce had dropped bombs in Balakot, destroying Jaish E Mohammed camps.
