The popular T20 league, 'Pakistan Super League' (PSL), began on January 27 and will go on till February 27. The tournament has made the headlines for off-field and on-field controversies. Now, a certain on-field act has caused a great stir and become the talk of the town on February 21.
Lahore Qalandars' pacer Haris Rauf slaps teammate Kamran Ghulam during a match against Peshawar Zalmi. The former could be seen slapping the teammate while celebrating a wicket after the latter previously dropped a catch off him two balls earlier on Monday.
Rauf dismissed Peshawar Zalmi's Mohammad Harris in the fifth ball of the second over of the match. When his Lahore Qalandars teammates ran towards him to celebrate, he slapped Kamran Ghulam, who had dropped the catch of Hazratullah Zazai off the second ball of the same over.
Ghulam didn't seem to think too much about it as he smiled and remained a part of the team huddle and the rest of Rauf's teammates also seemed not to be bothered by Rauf's action. Rauf could later be seen hugging Ghulam to make up for the incident. The video of this incident is currently going viral.
Lahore will next take on Multan Sultans on Wednesday for a place in the final of the PSL 2022. On the other hand, the fans, experts and game enthusiasts consider this act of Rauf as an unjust one and call it shameful. It is yet to be known whether Haris Rauf would be facing any consequences for his on-field action.
