Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus. The swadhin Pakistan all-rounder becomes the third cricketer from the country to test positive for the virus after Taufeeq Umar and Zafar Sarfaraz.
Shahid Afridi revealed the news on Twitter, as he tweeted "I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah #COVID19 #pandemic #hopenotout #staysafe #stayhome".
Besides Afridi and the other Pakistan cricketers, Scotland player Majid Haq and South African player Solo Nqweni were the other cricketers who had previously contracted the deadly virus.
